CASSW welcomes you to its new website

Working with children and families to foster academic success

CASSW was organized over 30 years ago to promote the professional growth and effectiveness of school social work in Connecticut and to support school social workers throughout the state. CASSW welcomes you to its new website. It was designed to inform and inspire you. It is a work in progress and any feedback is welcomed. Share with us any ideas or suggestions that will continue to better inform all school social workers. CASSW is alive and well and continues its commitment to support you in the wonderful work that you do on behalf of Connecticut's children.

It is exciting to be a member of a professional organization that school social workers can call their own. Membership in CASSW is open to social workers currently working in schools, retired from the profession or students interested in pursuing the profession of school social work.

Over the past three years the Executive Board has expanded to include representatives from three schools of social work: University of Connecticut, Southern Connecticut State University, and Springfield College, as well as an educational consultant from the State Department of Education. This has allowed the organization to broaden its scope of knowledge, influence, and involvement.
